Privacy Policy

Summary

ippun is designed to respect your privacy. We do not require an account, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email, phone number, precise location, or IP address. We collect only anonymous, device-scoped usage data to help us understand how the app is used and improve it.

What we collect

ippun collects anonymous usage data, which includes:

• Which screens you visit and which buttons you tap
• Which compounds you match, how often, and how long it takes
• Your scores, combos, and session history
• Basic device information: device model, iOS version, device language, and the country derived from your device locale

We use a randomly generated identifier to recognize returning users on the same device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information, and we never link your activity across multiple devices, even if you sign in to a future account feature.

We do not collect your IP address or precise location.

What we do not collect

• Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
• Your precise or approximate GPS location
• Your IP address
• Your advertising identifier
• Contacts, photos, calendar, or any other content on your device
• Any information typed into other apps

Crash reports

When the app encounters an error, we collect a crash report that includes a stack trace, your device model, and the app version. Crash reports do not contain personal information. They help us fix bugs that affect your experience.

How your data is processed

The anonymous usage data is processed on our behalf by two privacy-respecting analytics providers: PostHog (for product analytics) and Sentry (for crash reporting). These providers act as data processors and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.

The data is retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. We do not sell, share, or transfer this data to any other party for any purpose.

Tracking

ippun does not track you across apps or websites. We do not link your data with third-party data for advertising, and we do not share your data with data brokers.

Children's privacy

ippun is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no account is required and no personal data is collected, the app can be used by children without parental sign-up.

Your choices

You can disable analytics entirely at any time by going to Settings → "Help improve ippun" inside the app and turning the toggle off. When disabled, no further data is collected.

To request deletion of your previously collected anonymous data, please contact us at the email below. Because the data is device-scoped and anonymous, we may need the analytics identifier found in Settings → About to locate and delete your records.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any material way, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users inside the app before the new terms take effect.
